TIBA's eye clinic has been operational since 1995 and has become an indispensable service for the vulnerable in the community.
While focusing on the specialised needs of the visually impaired, transformation towards providing holistic services is one of the prime objectives.
This sets the platform for one of our major projects that is our ECD Centre. This program was the ultimate dream started 15 years ago when TIBA was still operating from a 3 bedroom house in Lenasia Extension 1.
The programme finally materialised in 2008 where we were finally able to open our ECD and the fruits of our hard work can now be enjoyed.
The ECD has been instrumental in putting together an inclusive remedial programme, thus addressing access to education.

As an NPO we should always keep focused on the fact that we have a responsiblity towards the upliftment and empowerment of the persons in our community.
The responsiblity of uplifting the community rests upon our shoulders. If we are unable to establish the needs of our community and address them, then that is an injustice aimed at our communities and the vulnerable that we should be serving. We need to have our eyes set on the goals of the organisation and the community as a whole.
A very successful and informative programme is held yearly with our Aged from Lenasia and its surrounding areas. The programme covered information on diabetes.
Our uplifting programmes have also targeted the youth, whereby we organised First Aid Training Programmes for high school students of the community. This has benefitted many of our students that have applied to Tertiary Educational Institutes.
